"It is better to be loved than feared."
I believe that the African Proverb "It is better to be loved then feared" is self-explanatory. This African Proverb means that being afraid of you doesn't mean I respect you. One example of the African Proverb being displayed would be when kingdoms take over land the formers owners of the land don't respect, love or care about this kingdom, yet they do nothing upset the kingdom because they are scared of what the kingdom would do. One way this Proverb can be used in life is, if your in authority over others, you should try and gain respect.
